Finally, researchers reported that combining artificial intelligence with micro-ultrasound technology can greatly enhance the accuracy of prostate cancer screening. This method outperformed traditional screening approaches (such as PSA testing and digital rectal exams) in identifying clinically significant cancers while reducing unnecessary biopsies. The AI-enhanced micro-ultrasound system showed both high sensitivity and specificity, suggesting it could play a major role in more precise and less invasive screening in the future.
