Board of Trustees
The Thomas John Prostate Foundation (TJPF) Board of Trustees is responsible for governing and overseeing the organization's activities and initiatives. As the governing body of TJPF, the Board is responsible for establishing policies and strategies to advance the Foundation's mission to promote prostate cancer awareness, research, and education. Trustees also play a critical role in fundraising and ensuring the financial stability of the organization.

Mr. Kayode Sofola
Mr. Kayode Sofola (SAN) is a 1974 graduate of law from Birmingham University, Birmingham. He has an LLM from the University of London. He has been in continuous private legal practice since 1976, and he is the principal partner of Kayode Sofola Chambers. He was made a Senior Advocate of Nigeria in 1995. Between 2004 and 2007, he served as the Chairman of the United Bank for Africa. He currently serves on the board of several companies, including the telecommunications company, Etisalat. He is married with four children.

Lady Roseline Efolomo John
Lady Roseline Efolomo John is the Chairman of Educare International Daycare/Nursery School, which she founded in 1987. In 2004, she established GreenOak International Primary and Secondary Schools in Port Harcourt. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Psychology, a master ’s in education from the Open University, London, and is a registered nurse tutor. With decades of leadership in child and youth development, she remains deeply engaged in expanding access to quality education. Lady Roseline is proud to continue the legacy of her late husband, Sir (Dr) Thomas Asuquo John, founder of the Thomas John Prostate Foundation.

Rh. Commander Patrick Ikemefuna
Rh. Knight Commander Patrick Nwabueze Ikemefuna, born in 1951 in Delta State, is a seasoned professional with a background in agricultural biochemistry and law. He spent 30 years at Ciba Geigy/Novartis, rising to CEO of Novartis Nigeria and later becoming the first MD of Syngenta Nigeria. He is now Chairman/CEO of Patemglobal Ltd. Ikemefuna has held leadership roles in several agricultural and health organisations and is a Fellow of multiple scientific societies. A devout Catholic and Knight of St Mulumba for over four decades, he was honoured as a Papal Knight by Pope John Paul II in 1998 and elevated to Knight Commander by Pope Francis in 2022. He is the current National President of the Association of Papal Knights and Medallists in Nigeria. He is a widower with two sons and three grandchildren.

Dr. Jennifer Odutola
Dr. Jen Odutola is the founder and medical director of Loudoun Rheumatology Centre, a board-certified rheumatologist, and a healthcare entrepreneur passionate about wellness-focused, patient-centered care. She joined the Thomas John Prostate Foundation Board of Trustees to help advance education that improves outcomes for men at risk of prostate cancer, a cause made personal by her father’s battle with the disease. Outside of work, Dr. Odutola enjoys music, dance, and reading, and she treasures time with her family. She lives in Northern Virginia with her husband and three children.

Senator Bassey Ewa - Henshaw
Parliamentarian, Banker, Corporate Leader. Senator Henshaw graduated from the Stern School of Business, New York University, with a B.Sc. cum laude and an MBA in banking and finance. He studied Development and Political Leadership at Harvard Kennedy School. He worked for Chase and Citibank, both in New York and Lagos, before becoming the first Nigerian Managing Director of Agbara Estates Ltd. He served on several boards, including the NNPC, Ecobank Côte d’Ivoire, the University of Ibadan, and the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC). He was a senator for eight years and president of the Parliamentarians for Global Action, an international parliamentary organisation affiliated with the UN. He has built a Centre for Indigenous Studies at the University of Calabar to promote Efik Studies. As senator, he vehemently opposed the ceding of the Bakassi Peninsula and has authored a book, “The Bakassi Debacle”.

Mr. Eskor John
Mr. Eskor John founded Marigold Advisers, a London-based advisory firm providing strategic guidance to business leaders. He brings extensive experience supporting small and medium-sized enterprises in high-growth and emerging markets, including work with Equity Bank, the largest financial services group in East and Central Africa. In addition to serving on the board of the Thomas John Prostate Foundation, Mr. Eskor John is a board member of SOMO Africa, a non-profit that trains, funds, and mentors entrepreneurs driving social change in low-income urban communities across Africa. Mr. Eskor John is a published author and holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management.

Dr. Chinwe D. John, MD
Dr. Chinwe D. John, MD, is a board-certified physical medicine and rehabilitation physician. She received her medical training at the College of Medicine, University of Lagos, and her speciality training at Albert Einstein/Montefiore, New York. She is the founder and medical director of Dr. John’s Best Health, which focuses on a holistic approach to treating diseases of the musculoskeletal system, chronic inflammation, and pain. She is honoured to serve on the board of TJPF, whose vision and goals are much needed in Nigeria and throughout the African diaspora. In addition to her medical practice, Dr. Chinwe D. John is a poet, lyricist, and author. She is a mother to one child.

Mr. Adegbola Odutola
Mr. Adegbola Odutola is the Founder and CEO of Solvitur Systems. With over three decades of experience, he helps organizations strengthen their cybersecurity posture and harness technology to achieve mission success. He previously spent more than sixteen years with Deloitte and Capgemini and served on federal government advisory committees for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the General Services Administration (GSA), where he contributed his expertise to key public sector initiatives. Mr. Odutola holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Lagos and an MBA from Durham University. A dedicated advocate for community engagement, he is an emeritus board member and former chair of the Parkinson Foundation of the National Capital Area (PFNCA). He lives in Northern Virginia with his wife and three children and remains actively involved in initiatives that advance health, education, and workforce development.

Ms. Biki John
Ms. Biki is a senior content marketing professional with over a decade of experience in the SaaS industry, working across both B2B and B2C enterprise markets. She specialises in scaling European technology start-ups with a focus on delivering measurable growth in customer engagement and revenue. Alongside this, Ms. Biki provides marketing communications consultancy to an award-winning Nigerian international school, where she supports brand development and enrolment growth at a leadership level. She has also driven projects designed to bring African art and fashion to international audiences, including creating and producing a fashion and lifestyle television series that aired on Silverbird TV’s network. Ms. Biki’s qualifications in law include a 2:1 Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from King’s College London and a Master of Laws (LLM) from the University of Nottingham (UK). She also serves on the board of the Thomas John Prostate Foundation.

Dr. Peter S. Nmadu
Dr. P.S. Nmadu is a 1977 graduate of medicine from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He later undertook postgraduate studies in occupational medicine at the universities of Dundee and Aberdeen, both in Scotland. He earned a Diploma in Industrial Health (DIH) in 1982 and an Associateship of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine (AFOM) in 1985. Dr Nmadu has spent most of his working life with the NNPC, where he rose to the position of Group General Manager and Head of Medical Services of the NNPC. He is a fellow of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine of the Royal College of Physicians, London, and a distinguished member of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA).
