Medical Advisory Board

The Thomas John Prostate Foundation (TJPF) Medical Advisory Board provides expert clinical and scientific guidance to support the Foundation’s mission. The Board advises on medical accuracy, research priorities, and emerging developments in prostate cancer prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. Members play a key role in shaping educational initiatives, informing research strategy, and ensuring that TJPF’s programs reflect current best practices and evidence-based medicine.

Dr R Ojewola

Dr. Rufus Wale Ojewola is an Associate Professor of Urology at the College of Medicine, University of Lagos, and a Consultant Urological Surgeon at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH). With over two decades of clinical and research experience, he is a leading expert in prostate cancer,men's health, and minimally invasive urological care. Dr. Ojewola is a fellow of the West African College of Surgeons and the Medical College of Surgeons of Nigeria, and he is widely recognized for his advocacy for early screening, community education, and multidisciplinary management of prostate diseases.

Dr. Jennifer Odutola

Dr. Jen Odutola is the founder and medical director of Loudoun Rheumatology Centre, a board-certified rheumatologist, and a healthcare entrepreneur passionate about wellness-focused, patient-centered care. She joined the Thomas John Prostate Foundation Board of Trustees to help advance education that improves outcomes for men at risk of prostate cancer, a cause made personal by her father’s battle with the disease. ​Outside of work, Dr. Odutola enjoys music, dance, and reading, and she treasures time with her family. She lives in Northern Virginia with her husband and three children.

Dr. Chinwe D. John, MD

Dr. Chinwe D. John, MD, is a board-certified physical medicine and rehabilitation physician. She received her medical training at the College of Medicine, University of Lagos, and her speciality training at Albert Einstein/Montefiore, New York. ​​She is the founder and medical director of Dr. John’s Best Health, which focuses on a holistic approach to treating diseases of the musculoskeletal system, chronic inflammation, and pain.​ She is honoured to serve on the board of TJPF, whose vision and goals are much needed in Nigeria and throughout the African diaspora. In addition to her medical practice, Dr. Chinwe D. John is a poet, lyricist, and author. She is a mother to one child.

Dr. Peter S. Nmadu

Dr. P.S. Nmadu is a 1977 graduate of medicine from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He later undertook postgraduate studies in occupational medicine at the universities of Dundee and Aberdeen, both in Scotland.  ​He earned a Diploma in Industrial Health (DIH) in 1982 and an Associateship of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine (AFOM) in 1985. Dr Nmadu has spent most of his working life with the NNPC, where he rose to the position of Group General Manager and Head of Medical Services of the NNPC. He is a fellow of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine of the Royal College of Physicians, London, and a distinguished member of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA).
